Research Impacts and Evaluation
Strengthening the connections between science and society through collaboration and evaluation.
About RIE
The Research Impacts and Evaluation program, housed in the Arizona Institutes for Resilience, works with researchers at University of Arizona and around the U.S., to strengthen the connections between research and societal impacts through a range of pathways to impact and use of evaluation practices to trace, document, and understand the impact of our research on communities, decision-making, and our environment.
Resources
RIE provides resources to support research impact planning and evaluation. In addition to our download-able guidebook, Planning and evaluating the societal impacts of climate change research projects: A guidebook for natural and physical scientists looking to make a difference, we hold workshops and webinars on topics related to societal impacts evaluation, engaged research approaches, and research ethics.
